Elink quick installing guide
Before flash games:
To prevent any unexpected bugs or errors, and keep the flashing process stable, PLEASE:
1, Connect the cassette directly to your PC with the cable in the package. We highly recommend you not using any extending cable, hub, even the usb connectors in the front of your PC chassis.
2, Double chech if your handheld console have enough power. Do not flash any game when the red light of your console is on.
3, Please keep enough available physical memory of your PC system by closing some programmes.
Flashing games:
1, Put your Elink in your console, then connect cassette and PC directly and firmly.
2, Double click the "Elink" icon on your PC (Make sure if you have already install the PC programme before you try to use it) and then turn on your console. If it is OK, you see "USB Online" on the screen of your console.
3, Click "add file" on your PC. And you could choose if you need some add-on features like instant Saving and Loading or turn on cheats of this game.
Add-on Features:
A, Soft reset. Jump back to the menu with power off by pressing "L+R+Start" during the game.
B, Golden finger: You can choose the cheats you need and turn those you chosen on by pressing "L+R+Select" during the game.
C, Save SMS to your Elink. Save the ".sav" file to your cassette. Elink can use the ".sav" file of VBA.
D, Backup SMS to your PC. Sava the ".sav" file to your PC. The ".sav" can be used in VBA.
E, Replace game. You can replace the game with new game and please be noticed that the new one should be small than the original one. Do remember to click "Start flashing" after you make some replacement.
F, Saving without battery. You can enjoy this feature by turn on the soft reset feature. The key point to enjoy this feature is doing a soft reset before you want to power off your console. The data will be saved to the SMS chip automatically.
To whom it may concern:
1, Closing unnecessary programmes on your PC could speed up your flashing process.
2, After Quickly switching your console, you will enter the single-game mode. You could sycn it with your DS game by using this mode. (Pokemon not supporting yet).
3, If you don't need the single-game mode. Please at least keep the console powered off for 4 second before you turn it on again.
4, Soft reset and golden finger features could not support those full 256Mbit games.
5, Do not power off your console when the screen showing "SMS saving ... DO not turn off power". It may cause unexpected errors and saving date missing.
6, If you encounter any problem during the games, please disable the soft reset or golden finger features to see it is ok, or try to use the clean rom.
7, Keep cleaning the golden finger of your Elink. Dirt could cause problems.
8, The flashing speed of Elink lite version would be 40-60K/s slower than Elink GBA version. That's all because of the H/W architecture.
